Lesley College does not feel quite like other residential colleges, however, because those who choose it are people who have a sense of mission in mind as they arrive. They may not want to be teachers or thgerapists, but they do want to make a difference in the world. The college has developed a strong sense of purpose and is clear in its mission. The experience at Lesley College is one animated by four core values: Democracy, Inquiry, Equity, and Community. Classes are small and taught by professors, not teaching assistants. The most notable aspect of the curriculum however, other than its grounding in fields of social service, is in the college’s commitment to experiential education.
